Named for its rich, red clay soil and massive stones, Redstone Winery is one of the newer wineries located in the heart of Beamsville. Moray Tawse, owner of Tawse Winery, purchased the vineyard site in 2009 when the winery was formally titled Thomas and Vaughan Estate Winery but was soon renamed Redstone Winery.
While the winemaking follows the tradition of excellence established at Tawse Winery’s award-winning winemaking team, Redstone’s wines are bold and full of character.
From crisp and refreshing Redstone Sparkling and Limestone South Riesling, to the robust and dry Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, there’s a delicious grape varietal that will appeal to any wine drinker. If you’re looking to taste-test award winners, check out the Meritage and the Redstone Chardonnay for something truly decadent.
Redstone Winery is not only a vineyard but boasts an 80-seat restaurant that focuses on regional cuisine. Opening its doors in 2015, The Restaurant is still a fairly new, thriving business. A popular place for both lunch and dinner, guests find themselves returning for the gourmet fried chicken skins, oven fresh pizzas and tantalizing view. Along with their farm to table approach, The Restaurant serves up their very own wines and local microbrews.
Take a visit to the winery for a guided tasting or make a reservation at their restaurant to enjoy a spectacular meal with a group of your closest friends.
