Located on Cherry Avenue in Vineland, Megalomaniac Winery is another one of the Niagara Region’s prized wineries. Creating a winery that has become audacious in branding, Megalomaniac crafts wines with bold distinction and a sassy attitude – just like its name.
The winery first opened in 2009. Back then, the winery itself was much smaller, and everything from harvest to administration and even tastings took place in the underground cellar. Today, the winery sits on 110-acres, on top of the Niagara Escarpment, providing guests with outstanding views of the vineyard, surrounding landscapes and Lake Ontario. With deep red walls, and cascading chandeliers, the winery has created a warm and inviting room for tasting and sampling, the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.
With names of wines that scream personality, there’s nothing you don’t want to try. From the Pink Slip Rose and Bubblehead Sparkling to Groundbreaker Red, the options are endless for all types of wine lovers. In fact, their Bubblehead Sparkling Pinot Noir, was awarded Bronze for the Q Water Sparkling Wine Award at the 2016 Ontario Wine Awards. Megalomaniac was also awarded Silver for Grounded Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 and Local Squeeze Riesling 2013 at the 2014 Intervin International Wine Awards.
Whether you’re looking to host an event for up to 120 people, or you want to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon with a close friend, Megalomaniac is the picture-perfect venue for any occasion.
